Living a Heaven-Fueled Life on Earth
As I was reflecting on the book “ Commotion at the gate ” by Moses Mukisa, it made me pause and ask myself if I have been living out the fullness of salvation, or if I have reduced it to just a ticket to heaven? And like me, if you have been around church long enough, it is easy to slip into a version of Christianity that’s more about escaping hell than transforming earth. Like many others, I grew up believing that salvation was mostly about making it to heaven and living a righteous life while waiting for Jesus to return. My understanding of salvation was centered around behavior—doing the right things—just to make sure I wouldn’t be left behind when Jesus comes for His church. In other words, my salvation was more about escaping than influencing . That mindset began to shift when I joined Mavuno Church.
